I received my first Walmart Beauty Box back in August. It included some amazing samples, well worth the $5 price! Check out that post here.
After the first box exceeded my expectations, I was extremely excited to receive the Fall box. Because EVERYTHING is better in Autumn. Am I right?
Well this box was equally amazing as the last. I really recommend signing up for the Walmart Beauty Box. You receive FOUR beauty boxes a year, one each season. So that’s a total of $20/year, which is a lot less than most beauty subscription boxes which can add up to $120 or more a year.
Here is my review of everything in the box:
L’Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Tinted Self Tanning Lotion • I’ve actually used the Sublime gradual tanning lotion before and in my opinion it’s one of the best lotions of it’s kind. The smell is great. The formula isn’t too thick and actually soaks into the skin instead of sitting on top like some bronzing lotions. This lotion has a similar formula. Even though it’s a bronzer it still soaks into the skin, you just have to wait a little bit for it to dry. The slight shimmer is really pretty if you’re going to a special event as well. I tested this on my legs and definitely saw a slight difference in color! I would say if you are just going for a subtle glow, this lotion is perfect!
Dove Advanced Care Beauty Finish Anti-Perspirant • Dove is my go to brand for a lot of things, but especially deodorant. I first tried it after seeing those commercials of “real” women trying it and raving about how nourished and soft their underarms were. Yes please. I feel like Dove products are gentler on the skin, so that’s the main reason I love this deodorant. It keeps you smelling nice all day long, without having to cake on the product. A must try!
Schick Hydro Silk Disposable Razor • Not going to lie. I basically shrieked when I saw this in the box. Razors are so expensive and I DREAD buying them. So I plan on using this “disposable” razor for as long as possible. It’s basically the queen of disposable razors, with “Water-activated moisturizing serum” and “5 curve-sensing blades.”
ACT Advanced Care Plaque Guard Mouthwash • When I was about 18 I had a thing for cavities, so my dentist MADE me purchase ACT mouthwash because of it’s anti cavity properties. It must have worked because cavities no longer hangout in my mouth. It’s also a lot less harsh than most mouthwashes, and has a nice mint taste. So I would say to switch to ACT and never look back!
Aussie Mega Flexible Hold Hairspray • I’m am sooo picky when it comes to hairspray. I have been using Dove Flexible Hold Hairspray for years and years. This claims to be flexible hold but I’m not buying it. It’s very sticky and definitely locks in your curls. I just prefer a hairspray that holds without solidifying your hairstyle! The smell is nice, as expected.
Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in “Gladiolus”– FULL SIZE! • I REALLY love the color of this lipstick! It’s a bright orange-red. Eeek! The applicator is a little strange, as the top of the lipstick is very flat and large. I had to use a brush to apply it. It’s very pigmented, which is great, however the lipstick doesn’t stay on that well, and since it’s so annoying to apply, that’s not ideal! I will definitely still wear this here and there.
This is the mix of small samples included in the box! I love the Biore mask so this was a nice surprise!
