Milani Eyeshadows

I had a realization a few months ago that I just could no longer afford expensive makeup, specifically eyeshadow (although I will always splurge on M.A.C’s Woodwinked, I can’t live without it). With that sad truth in mind, I took a trip to CVS to find a new, affordable brand of eyeshadow I could obsess over.

Milani eyeshadows happened to be on sale for $3 a piece the day I ventured into CVS, so I thought I’d give them a try. I always search possible purchases on Pinterest before buying, so I did a quick Pinterest search and found that Milani’s Bella Eyeshadows are pretty darn popular. Bloggers raved about them. Without hesitation I purchased the shades ‘Bella Bronze’ & ‘Bella Copper’ for a mere $6.00.

At first glance, the shadows are very metallic which scared me a little (I don’t like glitter unless its falling out of a birthday card my mom sent me). But once the shadow glides onto your lid, it doesn’t look super glittery, just metallic. These shadows are super pigmented and they blend SO nicely. They are a perfect formula, very comparable to my beloved Woodwinked.

Milani’s website describes these as a gel to powder formula but I don’t think they’re gel at all, just powder. Although, I will say that with other powder eyeshadows I always have a lot of shadow flecks falling under my eyes after applying. This eyeshadow stays in place from the minute you put it on.

I would really recommend buying these two shades and using the Bella Copper as a base color and the Bella Bronze as a crease color. The copper really brings out green eyes if you’ve got em!

These amazing shadows come in 29 different shades and they are only $4.49! Under five dollars and I think they are just as good if not better than any high-end shadow!
