Favorite Craft Supplies

Carli & I do a lot of DIY projects. Some of them we plan out, and some of them happen on a random Monday night while binge watching shows on Netflix. Since our craft-making is so sporadic, we like to keep certain supplies on hand at all times, just in case our creativeness needs to escape in the form of a new project. Here are our go-to craft supplies (in no particular order):

2) Elmer’s Glue Sticks

3) Gold Metallic Spray Paint. Our favorite is Rust-Oleum Metallic Gold Spray Paint.

4) Craft Knife & Cutting Mat. I purchased a X-ACTO X3255 Designer Series Retractable Knife, Pink and I love it! It works so well and it’s easy to store.

5) Sponge Brushes. I find they work better when using acrylic paint. If you use a normal paint brush, the bristles sometimes come off in the paint, and things can get messy.

6) Glue Gun & Glue Sticks. I purchased the one pictured below at Michaels. I would always recommend a mini glue gun as opposed to a large one. You can always use more glue for larger projects, but the mini give your more precision when gluing.

7) Cardstock Paper. I always have Recollections Neutral Cardstock Paper on hand. Recollections makes a ton of fun colors and prints as well.

8) Assorted Ribbon. I use ribbon on chipboard albums, cards, gift wrapping, and so much more. I like to stock up when it’s on sale at Michaels during the holiday season.

9) Sharpies. I’m really loving the Metallic Sharpies these days.

10) Mini Chipboard Albums. Every time I see these in the dollar spot at Michael’s I pounce. Pictured below is my own personal collection. I like to keep plenty on hand because I make Chipboard Albums as gifts every chance I get.

11) Chalkboard Markers. Chalkboard walls, labels, tables, etc. are really big right now. Carli and I have used chalkboard paint in some of our projects, so we purchased the Craft Smart Chalk Marker Set and they work wonderfully.
