September 2016 Recap

We noticed that a lot of our favorite bloggers tend to share some snippets of their life in the form of a newsletter or blog post. We really like the idea of looking back on the month and recapping all the fun/interesting things we did. It helps give us the drive to do even more next month, and gives you all a little insight into our day to day lives!

So here is what we were up to in September…

The Meddler Event

At the beginning of the month, we were invited to an event celebrating the release of The Meddler. We hadn’t heard of this movie before the party but it was actually super cute. We love feel-good movies that leave you feeling positive and grateful. This event was held at the Can Can Parleur Nail Salon. Which is the ONLY all organic nail salon in Los Angeles. We think it’s great that they focus so much on products that don’t harm your body! Of course the food was delicious and it was so much fun to relax with a glass of wine and chat with other women in the industry. We also got to take home the new NYX Love Contours All Palette which is stunning and one of our new go-tos!

Dog Sitting

Our former roommate/best friend Grace was going back home to Wisconsin for a week and asked if we could watch her dog, Paxton (you can follow him on Instagram @paxpoodled). Of course we jumped at the opportunity to watch our favorite little guy. He’s such a cuddler and gets so excited when we come home, it’s the cutest thing. We’ve all been wanting a dog for awhile but this just made our puppy fever a whole lot worse!

Housewarming Party

A couple weeks ago our good friend’s had a housewarming party. They just purchased a condo in Anaheim Hills and completely fixed it up. It’s absolutely STUNNING. Complete with interior brick. At the party, he actually ended up proposing which made everything that much more exciting! Two of our best friends were also in town which made it the best weekend we’ve had in awhile. It was one of those moments you wish you could freeze forever!

Gavin DeGraw & Andy Grammer Concert

Carli actually wasn’t a part of this but it’s going on the list anyways. Yelp Elite event are always amazing but this one tops the list! I received comped tickets to the Gavin DeGraw/Andy Grammer concert at the Greek Theatre. Which happens to be like two miles from my house! I had never been to this venue before and I am 100% obsessed. It’s like a miniature Hollywood Bowl. Since it’s on the smaller side there is NO BAD SEAT and the acoustics are amazing. Andy and Gavin were both incredible performers. My boyfriend and I had the very best time!

Chloe Morello x Ciate Event

Thanks to my former co-workers we were invited to the #chloexciate launch party at the Doheny Room, that was put on by Parsel. First of all the Doheny Room is our new favorite lounge in WeHo! The interior is stunning, complete with tufted velvet couches and metallic palm print wallpaper. The appetizers at the event consisted of truffle fries, fried chicken sliders and sushi. I know, it doesn’t get much better than that. They also had one of those photo booths that makes your skin look flawless. It was really great catching up with friends and congratulating Chloe on her amazing palette. The shades she chose are so perfect for fall, we haven’t put it down!
