All Black Everything

ALERT! ALERT! There is exactly ONE MONTH until the First Day of Fall! If you’re like us Fall means endless pumpkin treats & cozy cool nights. Although we miss Fall in Wisconsin (THE TREES) we love Autumn in So Cal. It’s still relatively warm outside but cold enough to wear jeans and a baggy sweater, which happens to be our outfit of choice most days.

Little by little we’ve been incorporating more Fall appropriate pieces into our wardrobes and PB & J Boutique was nice enough to send this adorable Origami Jacket. It’s lightweight but somehow still keeps me really warm. For this look I paired the jacket with a plain black crop top and my new favorite jeans from Madewell. It’s really hard for me to find jeans that fit just right, and I know I’m not alone in this. I’ve always been die-hard for American Eagle jeans. They somehow hug my legs AND my waist which I still don’t understand. But about a month ago Carli and I decided to go “try on” jeans at Madewell and needless to say we couldn’t leave the store without them. They’re the comfiest jeans I’ve ever owned!

I was a little skeptical to put together an all-black outfit since it can come off as a bit harsh. But I think mixing textures helps tone down this look and I really love how it came together. On another note, I’ve been so obsessed with chokers lately. 90’s fashion is still making a strong comeback and that makes my heart so happy.
