Ghostly S’mores Brownies

Happy Halloween everyone!!

Happy Halloween everyone!!

Carli and I love holidays and all the festive desserts that go along with them. We made these brownies in honor of this spooktacular holiday. Here’s the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • one box Ghirardelli Ultimate Fudge Brownie Mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
  • 1-2 packages of Ghost shaped Peeps
  • mini chocolate chips/chocolate jimmies
  • 8×8 pan (we used a 9×9 and that worked as well)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and coat the pan with cooking spray
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs, butter, sugar, and salt. Press into the bottom of the pan to form a crust
  3. Bake crust for 10 minutes
  4. While the crust is baking mix the brownie mix, water, oil, and egg (according to the box)
  5. After the crust is done pour the brownie batter on top and bake at 325 degrees for approximately 42 minutes (time varies depending on the pan)
  6. Melt the fudge topping (included with the brownie mix) for about 15 seconds in a microwave safe bowl. Pour on top of the brownies, spreading evenly
  7. Top with Peeps. The fudge should help them stay in place
  8. Broil for about four minutes. DO NOT walk away from the oven. We kept ours open so we could keep an eye on them. You just want them to be a nice toasty brown. Note: The eyes will melt off. See next step
  9. Remove from the oven. Replace the eyes with mini chips/jimmies
  10. Cool, cute & serve 🙂
