LA Living: DesignLoveFestival

DesignLoveFestival by Twinspiration

This past weekend we attended the beautifully crafted #designlovefestival, put together by Bri Emery of designlovefest. The festival was basically a mashup of artisan items, all for sale. There were throws, posters, plants, ceramics, hammocks, and more! Everyone was gifted a coconut to drink. They displayed the coconuts among the most adorable silly straws we’ve ever laid eyes on. Good marketing move. We each bought a straw (see below). There was no shortage on fancy cheese and crackers or wine, which are really…

LA Living: DIY Wall Hanging Workshop with ISIMO co

DIY Wall Hanging Workshop with ISIMO co

Last week we attended a DIY Wall Hanging Workshop with ISIMO co at The Subscription Room. It was a two hour workshop, and tickets were only $18! We are always up for learning new DIY/crafting techniques, so we were super excited for this event. The complimentary wine and cheese was just the cherry on top 🙂 Here are some pictures from the event. We are seriously IN LOVE with this space. It’s so open and it essentially a white space with pops of…

LA Living: Aroma Coffee & Tea

It’s no secret that there are countless places to eat in LA. It’s almost overwhelming. I’m always down to try a new place to eat, but being a creature of habit I like to have my “go-tos.” I’ve been in LA for 8 months now (WOAH), and through exploring my hood (The Valley) I’ve come to find some top-of-my-list restaurants that I frequent often. One of which being Aroma Coffee & Tea in Studio City. The first time I went to Aroma…

LA Living: Mexicali Cocina & Cantina

Mexicali

I’m convinced that the BEST part of LA is the slew of unique and wonderful restaurants. It would be possible to eat at a new restaurant every day, forever. BUT humans are creatures of habit, and we all have our favorite establishments. Every caffeine addict has a go-to hipster coffee shop, and every broke young adult has a spot they regular for happy hour. I personally attend happy hour for the appetizers. Don’t get me wrong, after a long day…

LA Living: Cupcake Tour of Hollywood

Cupcake Tour of Hollywood by Twinspiration: http://twinspiration.co/cupcake-tour-of-hollywood/

Carli and I have lived in LA for about a month now, and we are LOVING it. We live in the valley and we were shocked at how many trees line the streets. It reminds us of home in Wisconsin, where you can’t find an area without lush, green trees. We also love that you don’t really have to get on the freeway to drive most places (because the 101 freeway is absolute torture). One thing we don’t love about…
