I recently picked up @zara Bohemian Oud after testing it in store. I wanted a new fall/winter fragrance and this was hard to resist, especially for the price. It has notes of: black pepper, cocoa, vanilla, leather, and incense. Like most Zara fragrances, it’s not THAT complex. I would say the most prominent notes to me are vanilla, black pepper and incense. You are immediately hit with the vanilla but as it dries down the spicy and woody notes come through more and more. For $17 this was hard to pass up! I’m so curious about their four new vanilla fragrances. I find vanilla scents so warm and comforting for the fall and winter. I tried the @caliray tubing mascara about a year ago (just the travel size) and remember liking it but I also thought it was a dry formula - this tube was much wetter (and messier to apply). But the mascara didn’t clump when applying, was very black, and left me with natural volume and definition. I was most surprised by how well this held a curl as most mascaras weigh my thin lashes down. This is very easy to remove as it is a tubing mascara but on the down side, it did flake on me a little bit. This is definitely one of the better tubing mascaras I’ve tried but I still think I prefer non-tubing overall! #caliray #cleanbeauty #mascara #tubingmascara #tubingmascarareview

I thought this product deserved a dedicated review after years of recommending it to friends. Carli and I first tried the @neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint when we first moved to LA 9 YEARS AGO. We really liked it but got distracted by new releases and quickly forgot about it. Fast forward to a few years ago when we both decided to revisit this product and immediately remembered why we loved it. First of all it’s affordable, which we all love. Secondly, the formula is really unique. It’s silicone based and has a thick, moussy texture- so you might think it would look heavy on the skin. However, once you blend this out it melts into the skin in a way no other foundations do. It provides the perfect amount of light coverage and just looks like skin. If you set this it lasts all day and continues to look fresh. I always have a backup if this product in hand because I’m so scared of it getting discontinued. It was love at first sniff with @caswellmassey Almond fragrance. Britta and I love almond as a fragrance note but almond fragrances can often be too sweet and overpowering, this one is the opposite. It’s light and soft - the almond comes through but not in a sweet, in-your-face way. It’s a great every day scent for later summer/early fall and would be lovely layered under a sweeter scent if you are into gourmands. There is cherry in the middle notes and I do wish that came through more as cherry is another favorite scent note. The @danessa_myricks Balm Contour is one of my favorite cream bronzers and I don’t think I’ve talked about it on here. I’ve actually gone through one whole bronzer and have repurchased, which never happens with cream products. Anyway, this is definitely a “trust the process” type of product but I always love the end result. It’s very pigmented and balmy so I love to apply this with a damp beauty sponge. Sometimes a brush picks up too much product or it can look patchy. I like the sponge application because I can go over top with any leftover foundation to make everything look seamless. This formula is so long lasting on me, especially if I powder. I think it gives a very natural sun-kissed look. My only complaint is that I wish they had cooler toned shades in the range. I also want to say I love this packaging and I wish more brands did cream products in a shallow pan like this. #danessamyricks #danessamyricksbeauty #creammakeup #creambronzer #bronzer #sephorahaul #contour

I had to get this new Hueskin Serum Concealer from @livetinted after I saw @stateofkait’s review. This is a thicker concealer that is still very creamy, making it very easy to blend out. But start small and don’t use too much as it is on the thicker side. I get full coverage with this, I suppose this could be considered medium to full but it has more coverage than any concealer in my personal collection. This stuff doesn’t crease at all! I’m so shocked and pleased by that. It is such a long wearing concealer too and fades very gradually and even. My only complaint is that it did accentuate some dryness under my eyes I have from bringing up my active products too close to my eye - but it was nothing terrible. I will keep using to see if the active skincare ingredients actually do something! I have the shade 19 which is a pretty good match, a little light. #livetinted #hueskin #serumconcealer #concealerreview #cleanbeauty #newbeauty #newatulta #ultabeauty

This past weekend we traveled up north to Mendicino for our friend's wedding. It was the perfect weekend getaway and who doesn't love celebrating love? ⁠ ⁠ We went to breakfast Saturday morning and they had PUPPIES in the back of the restaurant that were up for adoption.
