The Coatigan You Need In Your Life
Now that it’s January and the weather is cooling down, I find myself needing a light coat whenever I leave the house (which is still rare). So I went on the hunt for the perfect coatigan (coat cardigan) and you guys, I think I found it! I have a coatigan from Madewell that is a couple of years old and although I love it it’s gray, which doesn’t match everything, and it’s a little heavy for a sunny day. I decided to try J. Crew and found the Juliette Collarless Sweater Blazer. I bought mine in an XS and I would say it’s true to size. I also like the length as I feel like it looks a little nicer than a shorter blazer (I’m 5’4″ for reference). The fabric is super black which I love, and lightweight enough for spring but can also keep you warm when running errands in the winter. I’ve been getting so much use out of it already.
For this outfit, I paired the blazer with a bodysuit, some Zara jeans, and my new favorite black mules. I purchased some black mules from Nordstrom last year and wore them to pieces. I recently discovered some white paint on them (don’t know how that happened) and so I immediately went online shipping for a new pair. I knew I wanted another leather pair because real leather just looks more polished. However, I didn’t want to spend a lot, being that we just got through the holidays. I found this pair at Nordstrom Rack for about $50 and I adore them so much!
