Welcome to our new blog series, Sweet Eats.
We’ve tried a couple different series on Twinspiration, like HomeGoods Happenings & LA Living. We really enjoy doing a blog series because it keeps us focused on our brand, and provides us with constant content.
Sweet Eats will showcase our favorite bakeries. Most will be in Los Angeles since that IS where we live. But whenever we venture out of LaLa Land we’ll be sure to seek out some bakeries to add to the mix.
Now that you have been introduced to Sweet Eats, let’s get to our first stop…Milk Jar Cookies.
We were first introduced to Milk Jar by our good friend Kellie. Since Kellie is a baker (check out her blog Pretty Little Bakers, she’s amazing!) we knew these cookies were going to be the REAL DEAL.
Milk Jar Cookies opened in the Spring of 2013, and was started by former TV Producer Courtney Cowan. Read more about their story here.
Their cookies are made daily and baked in small batches so you’ll always be sold a fresh, moist cookie. Aside from cookies Milk Jar also sells locally sourced milk, ice cream, & coffee. We love to see small businesses supporting other small businesses. #TheAmericanWay
Now let’s talk about the cookies themselves. They are super dense and manage to be crunchy on the outside, while soft on the inside. We don’t know that much about science but we do know that Milk Jar has nailed ideal cookie texture.
Our favorite flavors are the Chocolate Chip & Birthday Cookie (honestly tastes better than actual cake). View the full menu here.
The shop itself is decked out in pastel paper decorations, vintage dishes, and milk jars (of course). Milk Jar also sells a selection of adorable celebratory cards, which is so fitting with their fun party theme.
If you don’t live in Los Angeles, don’t worry, you can order Milk Jar Cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth!
