Jewelry is a great way to personalize an outfit. Feeling lazy? Just through on a dainty necklace and call it a day. Feeling flirty and bold? Try a nice statement piece that stands out.

For awhile Carli and I had two types of jewelry we gravitated towards: Anything gold and dainty, or anything with turquoise. We rarely strayed from these guidelines, and our jewelry collection ended up looking boring and repetitive. We slowly but surely tried to incorporate other types of necklaces and rings into our collection. Even though we prefer gold, we ventured out and tried some silver pieces. Instead of turquoise everything, we purchased some lapis lazuli and immediately fell in love with it’s rich blue tone. We realized that even if you have a favorite stone or metal (most people do), you can still have favorite pieces of jewelry that are completely different than what you usually pick out. That’s the fun of it! Change your jewelry with your mood.
