How to Style Over the Knee Boots

Dressing for Winter in California is actually quite painless since we don’t have to deal with the snow or cold temperatures. For this reason we like to mix different pieces to make a Winter outfit have a bit of Summer feel.

I’ve had this faux leather skirt for awhile and it pairs well with a crop top and heels. Since it’s Winter I decided to pair it with a mohair sweater and some over the knee boots. Carli and I have veryyy short legs so I always avoided over the knee boots because I assumed they would make me look even shorter. I ordered these boots from Target during a sale and I was actually shocked at how much I loved them. The quality is really nice and they fit perfectly. You would think that the boots would easily slip down the leg but they actually stay up all day. In this outfit they almost act as pants, so I can stay warm while still looking stylish.

This is definitely one of my go-to Winter outfits this year. As you know Carli and I like to stick to neutrals which can be boring. But when you mix multiple textures it makes an outfit look more put together.

I’ve worn these boots so much already and they’re very versatile. You can wear them with yoga pants and a baggy tee or try them with distressed denim and a flowy tank. I know I’ll be wearing these boots well into Spring!
