There is definitely no shortage of neutral tones on this blog. Carli and I both like to stick to wearing black, black, and more black with some gray and white mixed in. During the summer time we definitely try to wear some fun floral patterns to mix things up, but now that fall is almost here (yay!!) we’re back to our usual palette.
One of my favorite things about the color gray is that it contains so many different shades, tones, and often textures. I have so many chunky gray sweaters it’s actually ridiculous. But for this outfit, I decided to mix a deep gray bodysuit with a light gray moto jacket. The bodysuit has some ribbing which adds a nice contrast against the faux velvet jacket. I love playing with different textures! I feel like it adds depth and luxury to any outfit.
Also, speaking of bodysuits. They’re my new favorite thing. I was always scared of wearing them because I assumed they were extremely uncomfortable and unforgiving. But since basically, all my pants (and bottoms for that matter) are high waisted I decided to give them a shot, since they’re so trendy. And I’m so glad I did! I feel like when paired with high waisted jeans they actually help make me look leaner and taller, which is always a great thing. They’re also SO comfy. I mean I’m generalizing but the ones I’ve purchased are very low maintenance.
I’m also going to have to apologize because I’ve probably worn these boots in 75% of the style posts on Twinspiration. But they’re truly my favorite shoes and I love them and everyone should own them and I’ll keep wearing them until they fall apart. OK.

This is the first fall outfit I’ve thrown together this year and I love it! Seriously CANNOT WAIT for the weather to cool down and the pumpkin treats to start rolling in. Anyone else feel the same way?!
