DIY Card Books
We all get so many cards throughout the year. Most of the time they are cheap, cheesy, and generic. But once in awhile we’ll receive those expensive five dollar cards that are either blinged out, or have a really sentimental poem. Those are the cards I like to keep. Through the years I complied an impressive stack of cards and realized I needed a way to organize them. I made these card books out of chipboard albums. These are the same albums from the previous post, that I find in the dollar spot at Michaels. I found that rectangualr ones work the best for cards.
Supplies:
- Modge Podge
- 1 rectangular chipboard album
- 1 ring (the album usually comes with a small one, but I purchase larger ones in packs for more space)
- scrapbook paper, at least two sheets
- letters or embellishments
- ribbon
- hand held hole punch
Direcitons:
- Modge podge one side of one piece of chipboard. Place face down on the scrapbook paper. use a razor blade to cut around the edges. Repeat four times until all sides are covered
- Hole punch a hole in the upper lefthand corner of all the cards
- Place the ring through both covers and all of the cards
- Decorate the cover as you wish
- Cut and tie pieces of ribbon onto the ring
Note: group your cards by holiday or season
