Best Everyday ColourPop Shadows
You guys seemed to really like our Best ColourPop Nude Lipsticks post so we decided to do one dedicated to their everyday eyeshadows! ColourPop has two different eyeshadow lines, the Super Shock Shadows, and the Pressed Powder Shadows. They also recently released Supernova Shadows but those are basically pure metallic glitters and aren’t exactly suitable for every day. So for the sake of this post, we’re focusing on the SSS’s and the pressed powders.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I think ColourPop launched their brand with the Super Shock Shadows? The shadows made a splash in the makeup world for their unique texture and fun packaging. These shadows feel soft and buttery, almost like a cream, but dry down like a powder eyeshadow. I still don’t know how they do it! The Super Shock Shadows are great for everyday use because they’re best applied with the finger. So oftentimes we’ll just use one shade and blend it all over the lid for an instant smokey eye. Our favorite is probably Snakebite because it’s so subtle and gives that “glossy lid” effect.
When ColourPop came out with Pressed Powders we knew they were going to be amazing. They released so many shades at once and a lot of them were quite bold. One of the things we love about ColourPop is that they have such a range of shades. Everything from a bright blue to a subdued champagne. While we love the pops of color our favorite shadows are ones that can be worn on a daily basis, without too much effort or thought. Conundrum is one of our favorites to put all over the lid and blend into the crease. It’s the most stunning warm brown that looks awesome on any skin tone. Board Shorts is also a new favorite. It’s great for the Wintertime since it’s a true bronze so it’s a bit of a darker lid shade than we would normally gravitate towards.
