Brunch Attire

This past weekend we went to brunch at Winsome for Carli’s boyfriend birthday. Brunch is always a good time but it’s such a general concept. There are so many different kinds of brunch outings. There’s the kind where you wake up hungover and just want greasy food asap. In that case I’ll usually opt for a no makeup and leggings look. Then there’s the kind of brunch where you’re celebrating something and need to look a little more put together. This was that kind of brunch. I knew we would be outside so I wanted to be comfortable, and also stylish. The easiest way to achieve this is with a maxi skirt. They’re basically blankets you can wear. Am I right?

To dress up my skirt I paired it with a mauve crop top. Mauve is my absolute favorite color to wear on the lips, so it’s no surprise it’s making it’s way into my wardrobe.

And of course I wore my favorite strappy sandals from Old Navy. Do you ever make a purchase on a whim, not thinking it’ll be life changing, and then you don’t know how you lived without said item? That’s how I feel about these shoes. I wear them most days.

I wanted to go light on the jewelry since the outfit kind of speaks for itself. So i wore this gorgeous Rose Gold Tribal Triple Stack Ring from The Peach Box. After brunch we went to happy hour at The Hudson and this outfit transitioned flawlessly. It’s seriously the best weekend outfit I own!
