One of our favorite things to do together is bake. We absolutely love desserts and anytime they’re around they will be gone in 60 seconds flat. Don’t believe me? Ask our boyfriends. So when we were asked to create a recipe surrounding the #ShareYourSummer campaign, using Printed REESE’s Peanut Butter Cups (exclusively at Walmart), we were thrilled. Peanut Butter is one of our main food groups. NO JOKE. I literally eat it everyday. And if we’re going to be Sharing a Coke and REESE’S cups with anyone, it’s going to be each other (#wombies for life).
We know you all have heard of the #ShareACoke campaign, where you share a Coke with your Friends/Family/S.O./Ride-Or-Die Chick/Numba One Stunna, etc. Well you probably didn’t know that this year Coke released 1000 names printed on bottles, available at Walmart! SO MANY NAMES. Walmart has the largest (and most organized, for real!) selection of Coca-Cola personalized 20 oz bottles.
We didn’t have to think very hard about what to make with the REESE’S Cups. We’ve been using a no-bake cheesecake recipe or YEARS. We originally found it on a Cool Whip container when we were about 13. So that was like 11 years ago (Woah, what). We recently used the recipe as a base for our St.Patrick’s Day Mint Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. So we decided to use it again to make Mini REESE’S Cheesecakes! We knew we wanted to make the REESE’S Cups the base of the cheesecakes, so our only option was no-bake, since those puppies would have melted to pieces in the oven.
Without further ado, here us the recipe:Â
Ingredients:
- 15 REESES Peanut Butter Cups (separated)
- 1 8oz blocks of Philadelphia 1/3 Less Fat Cream Cheese
- 80z tub of Kraft Cool Whip Lite Whipped Topping
- 1/3 cup Jif Whips Creamy Whipped Peanut Butter (plus some for drizzling)
- 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 cup Sugar
Directions:
- Take a cupcake tin and place one REESES cup on the bottom of TEN of the spaces
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the remaining ingredients until smooth
- Fill each space with the cheesecake base, all the way to the top
- Break the remaining five REESES cups into pieces, top each individual cheesecake with REESES cup pieces
- Melt some peanut butter in a bowl, drizzle some on each cheesecake
- Place in the fridge for at least two hours, but we recommend overnight.
- Enjoy with a friend/sister/co-worker/solo 🙂
After our cheesecakes were finished we decided the best way to enjoy them would be on a picnic. One of our favorite spots in Los Angeles is the Muholland Scenic Overlook. It’s the perfect picnic spot! It’s never crowded and there’s plenty of room to lay out a blanket and relax. So off we went to the overlook to enjoy our REESE’S cups, cheesecakes, and Diet Cokes. We purchased the names Taylor & Whitney, so we’re just going to say they’re our alter egos (Britta & Carli are not popular names for personalized products).
Our picnic was a success due to the delicious desserts and company. We absolutely love doing things (EVERYTHING) together. As corny as it sounds we really are two halves of a whole, and feel more complete when we’re together. We are so very blessed to be given each other to take on life with 🙂
