I’m absolutely obsessed with copper. I think it’s so beautiful and simple and goes with many decor themes. I bought a gorgeous copper tray for only $8 at the Rose Bowl Flea Market back in November and have been trying to add more copper to my room every since.
I came across these Mini Copper & Marble Shelves by The Merrythought on Pinterest and decided to make my own. I liked the black marble but wanted something a little more bright since my room is mostly light gray and white. I found some plain white tiles that looked so nice with the copper and decided to go with those.
Since I have a lot of wall space, I wanted to create some sort of copper wall hanger that could hold my jewelry. Let me tell you…I am pretty darn happy with what I came up with. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my copper jewelry wall hangars and they look so nice with my mini shelves.
For the Mini Copper & Tile Shelves you will need:Â
- Gorilla Glue (or any heavy duty adhesive)
- 2 Copper plated tubing hooks (these come in a 5-pack)
- 2 3 in x 6 in white ceramic tiles (the ones I bought came in an 8-pack)
- White multi-surface acrylic paint
- Paint sponge or paint brush
Instructions:Â
- Paint the bottoms and sides of the tiles with the white paint and let dry
- Glue the tiles on top of the hooks “legs” and let dry. I set a heavy item on top of the tile while the glue was drying to make it adhere more.
For the Copper Jewelry Wall Hangars you will need:
- 2Â Copper plated tubing hooks
- A 1/4 in oak dowel (I think oak looks the best with the copper)
- 4Â 1/4 in copper slip cap fittings
- 6 2.5 in copper “s” hooks (I bought mine from Houzz because they had free shipping, however I ordered these mid-January and didn’t receive them until mid-March! They were backordered but still, no one should have to wait that long for an order! They sell the same hooks on Home Depots website–view here)
- A saw/power saw
- Sandpaper
- Gorilla Glue (or any adhesive)
Instructions
- Use your saw to cut the wooden dowel into two 7 in pieces. Sand down the ends.
- Glue the copper caps onto each end of both 7 in dowel pieces
- Hang the copper hooks on the wall
- Glide each dowel through three copper s hooks
- Place the dowel and s hooks onto the “legs” of the copper plated tubing hooks (the weight of the s hooks will hold down the dowel and keep it from rolling off the legs of the tubing hooks!)
*The copper tea light holders I have on my shelf are from H&M. They are sold out online but they have a lot of cute candle holders!

Do you know copper is actually great for our body in so many ways. In Ayurveda they say drinking water which is kept in copper glass over night can help you with digestion, slow down the aging, immunity, gives you glowing skin, etc. It’s an amazing thing.
