Not sure if you have noticed but Target has become a serious style destination. I’ve always loved Target (who doesn’t?!!), but these days I find myself shopping less and less for errand type items and more for home decor and clothes. They have seriously stepped it up! They have a few new women’s clothing lines within their stores and my favorite has to be Universal Thread. It’s basically a poor man’s Madewell and I am loving everything they have. It’s a line full of basics – think tees, button-ups, basic accessories – but their main focus is on denim. I have yet to try out their denim yet, but I did pick up a button-up which I styled in this post. This shirt really stood out to me because even though it’s still pretty simple, I love the unique color scheme. The base of the shirt is a gray/blue and it has burnt orange and white stripes running through it. As you know, I’m not really into colors. I usually always wear black, gray, white or various shades of beige. But the muted colors in this shirt called out to me. The quality of the shirt also surprised me. Sure, it’s thin but not in a cheaply made way. It feels durable yet breathable, making it perfect for spring and summer. I’ve had button downs from other fast fashion stores that have worn down so fast, but I don’t see that happening with this!
PS – this post is in no way sponsored, I’m just a huge fan of this new line at Target.
For this outfit, I paired the shirt with my favorite pair of Topshop jeans along with white mules that scream Spring style! These are also from Target and SO affordable. This look is a bit boring but effortless, simple looks are what I’m all about. I think when the weather gets even warmer, this shirt and mules would look great with a pair of light denim shorts as well.
Some other items I love from the line are these denim paper bag style shorts & this saddle bag. Let me know if you’ve picked anything up from the new line at Target!
