DIY Copper Mirror
What’s better than an easy DIY that involves copper?! I know: An easy DIY that involves copper and only THREE items. That’s right, this DIY copper mirror project is super easy to do and only involves three items.
I saw a similar copper mirror on Etsy awhile back that was around $50. No way was I spending that much money on a vanity mirror (no sir, not frugal me). One day when I was roaming the aisles of Hobby Lobby I noticed this sheet of copper for around $8. I immediately thought of the mirror I had seen on Etsy and knew I had to try and replicate it. The packaging on the copper sheet says it can be used in a variety of projects, if you have any ideas, I’d love to hear them!
You will need:
- A sheet of copper (mine is 4″ wide & 10″ long)
- One 6″ mirror
- Strong adhesive (I used E6000)
Instructions:
Find a round angle you can bend the copper over. Make a mark about 3″ up and make the bend there. There really is no method to this. I had my boyfriend hold the stool (see picture below) and just slowly bent the copper sheet around the 1″ rounded leg until it was at a 45-degree angle. Luckily, the sheet bends super easy so it can probably be adjusted if you mess up and want to re-bend.
After you have the sheet bent, glue the mirror to the top of the sheet (I glued mine to the top 3″ (approx.) of the copper sheet (see picture below).
This project can be changed based on your preference. If you want less copper showing, just move the mirror down. You can even use a square mirror!
Hope you enjoy this easy DIY!

How thick is the copper? Do you have a source for it?
Hi Katie, it’s linked in this post, I got mine from Hobby Lobby. Mine wasn’t very thick at all and was easy to bend.
