Fall Beauty Trend: Terracotta

Fall Beauty Trend: Terracotta

I have always loved orange-toned makeup so I’m very happy it’s so on-trend right now. Warm tones are perfect for fall and I think orange compliments everyone so well. I went through my vast makeup collection to swatch some of my favorite terracotta-hued makeup for you all! I skipped eyeshadows even though I do have a few beautiful orange shadows. I wanted to focus on lip and blush since those are my favorite ways to wear terracotta this fall. These terracotta shades range from orange to brick red with a heavy brown undertone.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Ashton

This was my first Anastasia liquid lipstick, I just HAD to have this true terracotta color! To be honest, this formula is a little drying for my liking but the color is worth the chapped lips. Even though it’s orange/brown in tone, it somehow works as a great everyday color, an elevated nude if you will.

MAC matte lipstick in Taupe

I actually bought this lipstick last Fall which makes me feel ahead of the trend. I think it is the most underrated MAC lipstick there is, everyone should own this one! Some of MAC’s matte formulas can be very drying, but this one doesn’t try out my lips at all. It’s a super creamy, opaque, orange/brown shade. Dare I say it’s my all-time favorite MAC lipstick?!

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Leo

One of Jeffree’s newer releases, he describes this shade as a true matte honey brown. I would say it has a good amount of orange/red in it, so it’s not a true brown. I have another JS liquid lipstick in Androgeny and although I love the color, the formula is a tad drying. Leo doesn’t try out my lips at all and has the best staying power out of any liquid lipsticks I own. The applicator is awesome too, the color always goes on so smooth. I’ve been wearing this one nonstop!

Makeup Geek Blush Pan in Infatuation

I had bought a MUG blush in Romance awhile back and was not very impressed. Now, I think I just didn’t like the shade because this formula is awesome! Infatuation is a matte blush (my favorite finish) in an orange/nude shade. Most everyday blushes tend to be pink nudes, so I love that this has a lot of orange in it. The blush goes on very pigmented but is so easy to blend out. I have pretty light skin and I just love how this blush looks on my cheeks!

BECCA Mineral Blush in Songbird

I had been eyeing this blush for awhile so when it went on sale on DermStore, I knew I had to get it. Like I just mentioned, I prefer matte blushes. I hate how shimmery blushes accentuate my large pores and make my oily skin look more shiny. This blush is a true satin finish, it’s not too shimmery but not matte. I’m obsessed. It’s more of a brighter orange than Infatuation, not exactly for everyday where. Word to the wise: use a very light hand when applying BECCA’s mineral blushes. The first time I put it on I looked like a clown. But again, this blush blends out so easy, don’t freak out if you apply too much!

Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Americano

The newest addition to my collection! I have a lot of Ofra liquid lipsticks and I’ve realized I don’t reach for them enough. I love Ofra’s formula, it’s not drying at all but lasts a good amount of time on the lips. They’re also really easy to reapply and layer. This color looks so similar to Jeffree Star’s Leo but with a tad more red, a little less brown.

I would love you hear about your favorite terracotta beauty products!
