We love doing lipstick roundups on our blog, but we thought it would be fun to talk about our favorite lip liners! Specifically the best nude lip liners in our collection. We use lip liners so often and rarely talk about them, so we thought we would end the pattern now.
We have high end and drugstore options so there’s something for anyone budget. Let’s take a look!
This is probably our most loved lip liner. You guys already know how much we love Bite Beauty. Their products are such good quality and made from safe ingredients. These lip liners feel more like a bullet lipstick, in liner form. They’re pigmented and creamy, without being too blendable. We prefer our lip liners to be a bit waxier so you have more control and can be more precise. Shade ‘036’ is described as rose taupe and because of the rose tones, it goes with more nude lipsticks, both warm and cool. However, we often wear it on its own because it’s so stunning!
If you’ve been following us for awhile you now you know that we never wear pinky nude lipsticks. We often gravitate towards neutral to cool-toned nudes. We just think they suit our skin tone best and they’re a bit bolder, which we love. When we found this shade we knew we had to try it. It’s truly our perfect nude. Not too pale or too dark with the perfect undertones. This formula is also super unique. It’s almost like a cream to powder formula so when you first put it on it feels super creamy and blends out well but it dries down to a very matte finish. It’s a little bit drying so we like to layer with a creamy lipstick!
This is our newest (and possibly favorite) lip liner discovery. This shade, Pillowtalk, has a cult following. We never pulled the trigger on this liner because $22 seemed a bit pricey. But we recently decided to try it and the color is definitely pinker than we’re used to but the formula has won our hearts. It’s similar to the Bite Beauty formula in that it’s more waxy than creamy, but somehow you only need a tiny amount to cover your lips. It’s magical. We can’t wait to try other shades!
This lip liner is definitely one of the most popular at the drugstore, and for good reason. We generally don’t like retractable lip pencils because they tend to be too creamy and less precise, but this one has a great formula! Again, more on the waxy side and incredibly pigmented! It also lasts forever and it’s under $5.00! The shade is a mauvy nude so it pairs well with a lot of our mauve lipsticks. Since it is on the deeper side, we like to layer it with lighter nudes to darken them up!
We say this all too often but Bow N Arrow is our all-time favorite lip color. And not just nude lip color, but in existence. We originally purchased the liquid lipstick but it is so drying, so we decided to try the lip liner. This formula is definitely creamier than we prefer (so you go through product faster) but that’s ok because again, it’s our favorite shade of all time.
