Spring is here and linen is definitely in. Before this year, I had never owned a linen clothing piece and often associated the breezy fabric with those linen “vacation pants” I would see popping up everywhere every summer. Those pants never interested me so I never purchased anything linen…until now.
I recently placed an order from Zara online and was surprised by how many linen clothing items were on the site. Zara always makes it so easy to see what is trending that season and it was clear to me that linen was in and I must get something made out of the laidback fabric.Of course, I went for a simple linen button-up shirt with a very relaxed fit and contrasting black buttons. I ended up loving how the oversized look pairs with my everyday light denim jeans. I’ve been wearing this combo non-stop and I’m so glad I picked up this top.
About a week after getting that shirt online, I was inside Zara on a mission to find a coast in a similar fabric and colorway. I ended up finding this largely oversized blazer coat that has a linen look to it but is thicker and more sturdy. I got the last XS in the store, so I feel as though it was meant to be. I also believe I got it on sale which could be why I can’t seem to find it on Zara’s site but I linked similar options down below. This coat pairs perfectly with my shirt and it’s thick enough that it actually keeps me warm during spring evenings (it’s still a bit chilly at night here!).
Do you own any linen? What else should I pick up? Let me know down below!
