Does anyone else buy clothing items on sale at the very end of a season only to wait nearly a year to be able to wear it for the first time? I am definitely guilty. I bought this beautiful, oversized coat from Mango almost a year ago but haven’t had the chance to wear it due to it’s heavy and warm nature. I love that I got a great deal on it but hate that it took so long to wear it!
Either way, it’s frigid here in LA (read in the 50s), so this was a great time to whip out my beloved checkered coat. When putting together an outfit, I had trouble figuring out what to wear. It’s a very over-sized and semi-baggy coat with little structure. I didn’t want to pair it was an equally baggy sweater and it was too cold for a plain t-shirt. Then I spotted my long-sleeve bodysuit in my closet and knew it would be a perfect match. The sleek, form-fitting bodysuit pairs so well with the oversized, loose coat.
I wanted to brighten up the outfit with a light pair of jeans and then topped it all off with simple jewelry. I truly love how this outfit came together and honestly wish it was colder for longer here so I could wear my coat more often!
