PREFACE: I had BIG plans to create my 2015 Vision Board on New Years Day, while binge watching FRIENDS on Netflix with the rest of the country. However, due to ALL THE FUN I have on NYE my energy supply was low, and I did not get to creating my vision board. Fast forward two weeks later and it’s finally completed.
As New Year’s Eve approached I couldn’t believe how quickly 2014 had gone by, and I also couldn’t believe how much I had accomplished. The two main events being graduating college (yeee, still so happy about that one), and moving to LA. The second half of 2014 was a fresh start for me, entering the real world and trying to catapult my career. I think subtle reminders about where you envision yourself in the future can often give you drive, and help you accomplish your goals faster.
So for 2015 I told myself I needed daily reminders/sentiments/inspirations to keep me on track and give me the push I need to really follow through on my goals. Some people keep lists on the fridge, or notes to themselves in their planner. But I’m a crafter, so a craft shall be made in any and all applicable situations. I created this vision board with different magazine clippings that caught my eye or really resinated with me. I really like how it turned out and I’m hoping it will inspire me thoughout 2015.
- Any size canvas. I bought mine for about $5 (with a coupon) at Michaels
- Magazine clippings/photos/embellishments
- Mod Podge & a brush/sponge
All you do is cut out the magazine clippings and Mod Podge them onto your canvas. Then do 2-3 layers of Mod Podge over the finished product, to seal it.
