Transitional Striped Romper

Transitional Striped Romper | Twinspiration

We definitely prefer rompers to dresses. They’re so easy to just throw on, add some accessories and be out the door. It’s also nice that they can range from very casual to dressy. Since we’re short (with short torsos) we have trouble finding rompers that fit just right. As in, cover the bum and still accentuate the waist.

The ‘Flori’ Striped Romper from Olive + Pepper checked both those items off the list! My favorite part about it is the belt detail. You can adjust it to highlight your waist, and it adds a feminine detail. This romper is also very thick and lined so it flatters the body instead of working against it. There’s nothing worse than a romper that’s made from cheap, thin fabric!

You might not be able to tell but the romper is a deep navy blue with white and terracotta stripes throughout. this is not a combination I would have thought of myself, but it totally works. I’m calling this post “transitional striped romper” because the color combination screams fall to me and I totally think its warm enough to wear in September and October.

I paired the romper with my favorite white mules. I feel like the shoes really make the whole outfit very mod and gave me 70s vibes! I also decided to wear my go-to gold hoops from Madewell. I thought a necklace would make the neckline too busy. And yes, I did try to match my lips to the terracotta stripes on the romper. I love a good terracotta lip!

Where do you get your rompers from? Do you love them as much as we do?!
