The Perfect Denim for Fall

I recently went on the hunt for the perfect light wash jeans. I wanted them to look like vintage denim and flatter my shape, with comfort being key. The TOPSHOP Jamie jeans are my favorite but they don’t have a lot of light wash options and I was looking for a straight leg cut that would make me appear taller. Anyways, I decided to try H&M. I’ve never purchased jeans from them because they used to fit so strangely. However, they just re-did their sizing and added a huge variety of denim to their line up. After perusing the website I decided to order the ‘High Ankle Jeans.‘ I was taking a real gamble with these. There were no reviews and the model’s body type was completely different from mine but I had nothing to lose. I could always return them.

When these jeans arrived at my doorstep I immediately tried them on. They went on snug but conformed to my body quickly and stretched out in the right places. These jeans are made of 99% cotton and 1% elastane so they feel like true vintage jeans, which I love. I was shocked to see how flattering these were on me. They were even the perfect length! For reference, I’m 5’4″ and am usually a 26/27 in jeans, and I ordered a size 2.

I think it’s safe to say I found the perfect light-wash vintage looking jeans! And for under $50 no less. I highly recommend picking these up before they sell out.

For this outfit, I paired my new favorite jeans with a basic white tee. I’ve been loving these basic t-shirts from Uniqlo. They have a smooth finish and aren’t see through at all. Straight leg jeans pair well with heels so I decided to wear white mules to match my tee. It was a bit cool outside so I wore a lightweight blazer as my jacket. There’s nothing I love more (fashion wise) than a black and white outfit.
