The Lightweight Blazer You Need For Spring

The Lightweight Blazer You Need For Spring | Twinspiration

Back in the winter, I wrote about my absolute favorite sweater/blazer by Madewell and that is still one of my favorite pieces of clothing. I found myself wearing that jacket every single day when the weather was colder. I even bought an electronic de-fuzzer to keep it in tiptop shape because I want that blazer to last forever.

When the weather started to warm up, I knew I would have to temporarily retire my favorite blazer and find something more lightweight for this time of year. Because that blazer was from Madewell, I searched there first. With no luck, I moved onto J.Crew because if I remember correctly, J.Crew owns Madewell? Please correct me if I’m wrong. At the time I purchased this blazer, it was 40% off! I guess J.Crew does sales as seasons change on new items, much like the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I think this marketing strategy is brilliant and more brands should do it. This J.Crew blazer is still a sweater material, but it’s a wool and cotton blend, unlike my Madewell one which is pure wool and so much heavier. This blazer also has shorter sleeves which I’m sure they’d be short on everyone because I have very short arms and they definitely don’t go all the way to my wrists. I think this adds to the more spring/summer feel of the blazer! The Lightweight Blazer You Need For Spring | TwinspirationThe Lightweight Blazer You Need For Spring | TwinspirationThe Lightweight Blazer You Need For Spring | TwinspirationMost blazers that launch this time of year tend to be canvas material, which isn’t really my thing. So I really love how this still looks somewhat winter-y but isn’t heavy (you know I love winter style).

I decided to go with black because I figured I could wear it with everything but this blazer also comes in gray, camel and pink. I actually think the pink is really pretty and I usually don’t like pink at all!

I honestly took pics for this outfit post a few weeks ago before the weather really warmed up so this outfit might be too warm where you live, but I think I could easily switch my jeans out for shorts and have a great evening summer outfit idea! The Lightweight Blazer You Need For Spring | TwinspirationThe Lightweight Blazer You Need For Spring | TwinspirationThe Lightweight Blazer You Need For Spring | TwinspirationThe Lightweight Blazer You Need For Spring | TwinspirationBlack Blazer: J.Crew | Jeans: American Eagle | Bodysuit: Topshop | Mules: Madewell | Lip Color: Sephora Cream Lip Stain #78
