I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but I”m going to remind all of you lovely people how much Britta and I love winter clothes and how much we don’t like summer clothes. It is so hard for me to get excited about a season that revolves around tank tops and shorts. It’s not even like I don’t want to show off my arms or legs, I just prefer to wear long sleeves and jeans. It’s my comfort zone & that’s where I like to stay.
Every summer I have a hard time putting together outfits that are both comfortable and stylish. To me, shorts are neither the former or later. Anyways, I knew I wanted to find a cropped pair of jeans that I could wear in the summer that would go with everything. I know “summer jeans” tend to be light denim with rips in them but I have plenty of pairs like that. I was on the hunt for a cropped, black (yes, black in the heat of summer) pair of denim and oh boy did I find them.
Of course, I found my perfect summer jeans at Topshop. These jeans are perfect. They are surprisingly a thick material but because they’re a baggier fit, there’s room to breathe. They crop at the perfect length and have really cute frayed hems. They are also more of a mid-rise fit which I feel like is perfect for summer crop tops or for tucking in t-shirts.
