September 2017 Recap

September was definitely a low-key month for us, with a few exceptions. Honestly, these months are the best. When life is just normal and you can exhale, but you still have key events to look forward to.

Graduation/Avila Beach Trip

My boyfriend Tommy graduated from the Los Angeles Recording School on the same weekend that we went up to Avila Beach with his mom for their annual trip. The night before the graduation we went to dinner at The Sit Down, our favorite little Italian spot. They literally have the most decadent pasta and the cutest atmosphere!

You may remember my Heart Castle post, which is the first time I visited the area a couple years ago. I’m head over heels for the Central Coast. It’s much calmer than Los Angeles or even San Diego. Avila Beach specifically is a lot less built up than other beach cities. It gives me major Catalina vibes. We walked around town, had some drinks, and just relaxed. It was a wonderful weekend getaway to celebrate our graduate!

Boney Wedding

It’s still crazy to me that our close friends are starting to get married. Time truly goes by so much faster the older you get. Our good friend’s Lexi & Joey tied the knot this month at the gorgeous Temecula Creek Inn. It was definitely the most beautiful wedding we have ever been to! One year ago we started these monthly recaps and talked about Lexi  & Joey’s engagement at their housewarming party. I cannot believe how fast these 12 months went by, and that their wedding day has come and gone!

The four of us (Table 22) and a couple of our other friends rented an Air BnB in Temecula for the weekend. None of us have spent an inordinate amount of time here and we were all blown away by how serene wine country is. We literally spent all weekend on our back patio. The wedding happened to be later in the day, so we spent the hours leading up to the ceremony in our PJs hanging out on the porch, watching the boys hit some golf balls. The wedding itself was filled with tears, great food (hello Mac & Cheese bar), and of course excessive dancing. We’re so grateful Lexi & Joey included us on their big day!

That’s it! Sorry, this month’s post was a little short. Like I said, we had these two weekend trips planned and not a lot in between!

xx, Britta
