Neutrals in NYC

The streets in New York City are some of the most charming (read Instagram worthy) in the country, so we knew we had to shoot some style content while we were there. The morning of our Bite Beauty Lib Lab appointment we decided to walk down the nearest street and take some photos. We were honestly so distracted by all the brownstones and fall decorations that we were rushed for time to shoot. Nevertheless, I really love this cozy fall outfit and it’s so easy to recreate!

I got this gray cardigan a few days before we left on our trip, and I wore it multiple times while we were in New York! It’s super cozy and well made, without being too heavy. It’s almost like a light jacket. I love the light gray shade because you can wear it with dark gray, white, black, or even taupe. Gray is such a versatile neutral, am I right?

I paired my sweater with a simple black bodysuit, my favorite black denim, and a slim belt with gold hardware. I’ve gotten SO much use out of this belt in the short time I’ve owned it. I hope H&M brings out more shades!

The boots are definitely a step outside of my comfort zone but I love the look of a pointed toe. They’re flat so I assumed they would be the perfect shoe to walk NYC in. I was wrong. They seemed to be perfectly comfortable but when I took them off that afternoon my toe was bleeding. I’m only telling you this because Carli and I discovered life-changing blister protectors because of this incident. We wore gel cushions on our toes the rest of the trip and we didn’t get one blister. We’ll never travel without them again! When you’re on vacation you don’t realize how much you’re walking and it can be harmful on your feet.

Anyways, my favorite part of this outfit is the backpack. It’s a dupe for the Chloe Mini Faye Backpack but 1000x less expensive. I love wearing a backpack while traveling because I can use my hands for taking photos/coffee/snacks/shopping bags. You get the point. This little backpack was the perfect size to hold all my personal items and it looks so high end and sleek.
