Stripes seem to be a trend every fall and winter. No matter what trends come and go during spring and summer, stripes just find their way onto sweaters everywhere come fall. I have plenty of sweaters with a stripe pattern and although I love them, my favorite way to wear stripes is on a more structured shirt like the one I’m wearing here. I picked up this shirt from Mango a while back so unfortunately, it’s not available anymore but I linked a similar shirt down below!
When it comes to tripes, I find that vertical stripes flatter my body type best and if you’re short like me (I’m 5′ 3″) then I would say try to find shirts with vertical stripes as well!
Because it’s not too cold here yet, I paired my striped button-up with a pair of classic black jeans and white mules. If it was warmer here, I think this shirt would look great with some blue jeans and a camel or tan pea coat like this one. Blue and tan just pair so well together in my opinion. I also think this shirt would be so cute with a black leather skirt and knee-high black boots. I’ve been trying to only buy classic, versatile pieces so this shirt really fits the bill!
I decided to rock a classic red lip with this look because I basically only wear red lipstick in November and December.
If you can’t tell, I love this style of striped shirt and really want to find similar options in different colored stripes! Shirt: Mango , sold out, similar but more expensive option here | Jeans: Topshop | White Mules: Target, old similar here | Lipstick: Uncensored by Fenty Beauty
