2018 will be the year I accessorize more, or at least that’s what I’m trying to remind myself! If you’ve followed our blog for awhile, you know we’re not big jewelry people. We love minimal, dainty rings but beyond that we barely ever wear jewelry. So many times I’ll look back on an outfit I post on the blog and wish I would have thrown on a necklace or some earrings. So this year, I’m making it a goal to wear more jewelry (on and off the blog)! Since this was one of the first outfit posts we shot for the blog this year, I wanted to start the year off right by wearing these amazing black fringe BaubleBar earrings we recently got at an event. Since I’m easing my way into statement earrings, I knew I wanted to keep the whole outfit clean and simple to let the earrings stand out (without owning the outfit). I decided to pair the earrings with this white short-sleeved sweater with black trim and some black jeans and black booties. I love how the whole outfit is black and white but I mixed a lot of different textures (denim, faux wool, leather) to make it more interesting.
I absolutely love this outfit and I think I’ll be wearing it until the weather starts to warm up. I also think these earrings could actually pair great with a fun dress, particularly a mustard colored dress since that shade is so in right now!
Side note: Let me know your earring recommendations since I’m getting into them now!
