Hello, everybody! I’m here with a new beauty post that will change your beauty routine! I’m sure you’ve heard that cleaning your makeup brushes often is important. I only recently started doing it once or twice a month and I’ve seen a difference in my skin. I break out far less AND my makeup goes on better because theres not a lot of build up on the brushes.
This makeup brush cleaning technique is so easy, you will have no problem doing it once a month (or as often as needed).
You will need:
- Johnson’s Moisture Care Baby Wash
- A cup
- A washcloth/small towel
- Warm water
First, you just simply squirt a few pumps of the baby wash into a cup. A few pumps is all you really need for a handful of brushes!
Next, fill the cup halfway full with warm water. You don’t want it too full or it will overflow when you insert the brushes.
Now it’s time to place your dirty brushes in the cup!
Now swirl the brushes around to get the makeup out of them. You’ll end up with some pretty muggy water.
You only need to leave the brushes in the water for a minute or so. Last but not least, make sure to rinse your brushes clean!
Lay the wet brushes on your washcloth to dry.
If you need your brushes ASAP, you can set your blow dryer to low and dry them off. I usually do this at night so I can just let the brushes air dry, but I’ve had no problems drying them with my blow dryer.
