Green Sweater On Repeat

I know people in most of the country have already experienced snow and below zero temps, but this is the WORST winter I have experienced in Southern California. We had a rain storm on Sunday that made me feel like I was back in Wisconsin. Because of all this rain and cold temps (aka 50-60 degrees), I’ve been living in sweaters and jackets. I’m so not used to wearing my winter jacket, I forget that it’s hard to find sweaters that fit under it flawlessly!

During Black Friday weekend, Britta and I picked up these forest green turtlenecks from American Eagle. I can honestly say it’s been in my weekly rotation every week since I’ve gotten it. First of all, I just LOVE this color. Dark green is such a stunning color that I don’t find enough in stores. Side note: I’m on the hunt for a dark green faux leather jacket if you find one.

Second reason this sweater is a hit, it’s the perfect thickness! Some of my turtlenecks are so warm I roast at work, then some are too thin and I feel like I need another layer. This sweater is pure perfection, I wish I would have picked up the other colors! Oh and I love the length, it’s longer than your average sweater which I prefer most days.

Love the outfit shots! I completely get it about the weather this year. It sucks. I mean, Texas weather usually sucks anyway but this year it’s worse. I think I was able to wear a sweater for maybe a week only. Other than that, it hasn’t been cold enough to wear a sweater. I love pull-over sweaters but can’t enjoy it because I’d melt. 🙁
