Spring is here and we are changing up our makeup habits! We love the dark, rich hues of fall and winter, but it’s always fun to change up your makeup routine. This spring, we’re focused on dewy skin and bright lips. We’ve always been matte foundation loving girls but lately, it’s been nice wearing lighter coverage foundations that give a nice luminosity to the skin.
As far as bright lips go, we have some we’ve been loving that we’re going to share with you. We’ve also been into more berry-tones this spring. I know typically, berries are reserved for fall but we think they are perfect for spring as well. We also traded our dark, cool-toned nudes for more warm, light nude lip colors which go well with fresh-faced makeup.

Although we usually don’t splurge on luxury makeup items, this lipstick is worth the money. First of all, can we talk about how beautiful this lipstick is?! The rose gold. The ridges. We love it all. Coral lipsticks are perfect for spring, but we always have a hard time finding the perfect coral. Because this one is bright, it works well with all skin tones and looks great when we have a little (faux) tan going on.
This guy is new to our collection and we have fallen fast for this bright pink/red. I know red is a shade that should be worn all year long, but it’s so much more fun during the winter months/holidays. For spring, we like our reds to be brighter and more pink in hue. This one by Dose of Colors fits the bill perfectly! For some reason I think it brings out our green eyes too so if you have blue or green eyes, I think you’d like this one!
Finding a great lipstick at the Drugstore feels like winning the lottery (or what I imagine winning the lottery would feel like). It’s no surprise that Maybelline has amazing lipsticks but this one in the shade ‘Brown Blush’ is probably my all-time favorite affordable lipstick. This shade is a medium plum with neutral to warm undertones (but not too warm). I swear it goes with every eye look and blush you wear. Truly this shade can (and should) be worn all year round but we’ve been loving it recently.
Not going to lie, when we first got Jiffy in the mail, we were a little disappointed. It was a lot lighter than we both thought it would be and pinker than expected. After trying it out a few times, though, we really love it for everyday wear. Whenever I’m in a rush to get out the door, I can always count on this shade to complete a look. It’s not bold so it won’t compete with done-up eye looks yet and you can wear it on minimal makeup days.
Ah, what a throwback. I’m sure a lot of you have owned this cult classic lipstick. When we were getting ready to do this post, we both thought of Rebel as a shade we wanted to include. Typically, I feel like this shade always shows up in fall favorite posts but we love a good berry shade in spring. This shade truly works on every skin tone, it’s incredible. Since it’s MAC’s satin formula it’s not as drying as their matte formula and it lasts a good while on the lips.
Just like Jiffy, this shade is perfect for everyday looks. It goes great with every outfit you wear and truly is a “my lips but better” color. The Dose formula is also one of our favorites. It lasts forever yet doesn’t feel drying at all. This the best deeper nude shade we’ve ever found!
This is the only Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon I own but I really want to buy more. Normally, when you hear the word matte, you think drying. But these lip crayons are far from drying. They’re SUPER pigmented, leave a satin-matte finish and stay on our lips all day. Oh, and it’s a twist-up so there’s no sharpening involved! The shade Cava is super unique since it has a cool undertone. I get lots of compliments everytime I wear it!
