December is probably our favorite month of the whole year! There are countless ways to celebrate the holidays and we usually get to go home to see our family and friends. This December seemed to fly by, but looking back we actually did a lot of fun things. Let’s recap this month, shall we…
Anniversary Trip to Seattle
It’s Carli here! I went to Seattle this month with my boyfriend James to celebrate our 4-year anniversary! We both have always wanted to go & figured this was the perfect time to take the trip. Our anniversary is on December 1st which means it’s most likely going to be cold wherever we go (besides home in LA of course). Even though it was cold & rainy, we had the BEST time in Seattle! Check out this Seattle travel guide I put together to see what we did!
KL Polish Launch Party
Kathleen Lights recently launched her own line of nail polish, KL Polish. My company hosted the KL Polish Launch Party at our loft in Los Angeles. It was so much fun to see Kathleen celebrate all her hard work with her loved ones. It was also nice to unwind with my fellow co-workers after a week of hard work. Make sure to follow @klpolish on Instagram!
Ice Skating in Downtown Los Angeles
Every year Pershing Square in Downtown LA gets it’s very own ice rink. We have gone in the past but it was crowded, expensive and overall unenjoyable. This year I was lucky enough to be selected for a Yelp Elite event at the rink. I brought my boyfriend with me and it was a nice surprise date night! There were only about 50 people there which made for a much enjoyable time. Carli and I used t figure skate so I absolutely love getting back on the ice any chance I get. We didn’t participate in a whole lot of holiday activities this year so it was a nice surprise!
Back Home in Green Bay!
Our trip home was as perfect as we wished! We haven’t been back in about a year and a half so it was much needed. Even though we were only back for a few days we jam packed those days with good food & great company. We took the boyfriends to two of our favorite restaurants, Grapevine Cafe and Los Banditos. Both were just as amazing as we remembered. We also went to one of our favorite local attractions, Nutcracker in the Castle (more on that soon!). It was great to see all of our family and friends and FINALLY have a white Christmas!
Christmas Eve, Packers vs. Vikings Game
Of course a trip back to Green Bay wouldn’t be complete without a Packer game! It was my boyfriends first time at Lambeau and I’m so happy the weather decided to cooperate. It was right about 34 degrees the whole time but the sun kept us warm. We had seats in the endzone, row 11, which was such an amazing experience for cheeseheads like ourselves. There really is nothing like drinking a beer and watching your favorite football team play their hearts out in the best stadium in all the land (a little bias, yes).
We hope you had an amazing 2016!
