One Piece, Two Ways: Vintage Jeans | Twinspiration

Hello, everyone! Let’s do a little Q&A, shall we?

Favorite color: gray or dark blue

Favorite food: Tacos, I could eat them every day and never get sick of them

Guilty pleasure: Taco Bell, I eat it more often than I want to admit (but really, I think we can all agree it’s good stuff)

Favorite season: Fall, of course

Favorite movie: It’s a Wonderful Life (can anyone ever match up to Jimmy Stewart?)

Favorite song: All For You by Sister Hazel (WHAT. A. THROWBACK)

Celebrity crush: Grant Gustin, I love me a superhero

Favorite place I’ve traveled to: New York City, particularly the NYC Public Library

Dream vacation: Trip to Alaska! I’m not really into beach vacations

Style icon: Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale & Mary-Kate & Ashley of course

Favorite perfume: Elizabeth & James Nirvana Bourbon

Dream big. Work hard.

Some more things about me: I love my friends and family more than anything. I love cupcakes (it’s an addiction). I have an intense fascination with the moon. I think that everyone has a story to tell and I absolutely love hearing these stories. People are my passion. I believe in my dreams. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason.

xo, Carli

Hi Carli (and Britta!), I too was a journalism major, and have a degree in journalism. I also just moved to Dubuque, IA from Peoria, Arizona, and have a daughter living in El Cajon, CA. My husband and I love CA but it is very expensive and moved here to be support for our other daughter who was going through a tough time.

I believe in all things natural, thus my “Live-it Essentials©” essential oil business and my coined expression for my food selections, or “Live-it©” – although, I must admit, I am addicted to 85% dark chocolate – Belgium, Dutch, German, not US, we don’t know how to make dark chocolate here.

I believe in Repurposing anything and everything, living within your means, building people up and not tearing them down, and living my life to make a difference in someone else’s.

I also believe that Jesus Christ lived and died to save me from my sins, that God is still in charge, no matter how much we think we are. That He allows things to happen for a reason and sometimes that He has to hit us over the head to get us to make a different choice in life.

I also love the Green Bay Packers!! and my brother-in-law comes from Wisconsin as well and is a HUGE Packers fan. My husband David was actually born in Wisconsin, but grew up in New Mexico and Colorado.

You girls have your lives ahead of you, and you are excellent writers with excellent and positive spirits. You will make wonderful journalists and I look forward to reading more of your writings!

God Bless and keep you both.
