Best ColourPop Lipsticks

Best ColourPop Lipsticks | Twinspiration

A few months ago we roundup up our favorite nudes from ColourPop. You guys seemed to really enjoy that post so we thought we might as well tell you our picks for the best Colourpop lipsticks! It’s no secret that ColourPop rolls out new products CONSTANTLY. It’s hard to keep up! While we absolutely love their pressed shadows and concealer, their lip products will always be our favorites!

ColourPop has such a range of formulas. More than any other brand we would say. They have everything from their Blotted Lips that will give you just a wash of color, to their Ultra Matte Lips that are completely transfer proof. We actually prefer the Ultra Satin Lips because they’re long lasting but still comfortable to wear all day long. The Matte X formula is also really nice because they’re extremely pigmented but creamy at the same time.

So, let’s get to our favorites!

Strut- Ultra Satin Lip

Strut is our go-to nude from ColourPop. It’s described as a cool-toned taupe which is spot on. We prefer nudes with a neutral or even brown undertone and we tend to steer clear of pinky nudes. But as you know pinky nudes are so popular that it can be hard for us to find a flattering neutral nude. That is until we found Strut. The Ultra Satin formula isn’t transfer-proof but it’s easy to layer up and reapply as needed.

Zuma- Ultra Blotted Lip

This Ultra Blotted Lip formula is incredibly unique. It almost dries down powdery but it doesn’t feel drying on the lips. For the most part, it is transfer-proof and the best part is that when it starts to wear off it does so evenly so you don’t get the dreaded “butt hole lips” (for lack of a better term). Zuma is described as a warm rosey mauve and it’s definitely a true, deep mauve. We LOVE wearing mauve on the lips because it’s vampy enough to wear it makes our eyes pop but not too dark for summer.

Kapish- Lippie Stix

First of all the name of this one is so cute. It’s a dusty warm brown which makes it a lot more wearable than your average ’90s’ brown. It’s definitely a dark shade but since it’s so warm we think it would suit many different skin tones. As I said earlier the matte x formula is extremely pigmented and very matte but also quite comfortable. Kapish is one of our go-to shades for fall!

Point Zero- Ultra Satin Lip

Point Zero was one of the first lip products I think we ever purchased from ColourPop! Grey toned lip products are very trendy right now and this “cool toned gray brown” surprisingly suits our skin tone. Actually just last week someone told me that gray toned lipsticks are flattering on me, which is unusual since gray is usually a color I wear on my body, not on my face haha. But this lip color is a great way to try more of a bolder nude!

Bootie- Lippie Stix

We have SO many red lipsticks but it’s hard to find a true orange red. So when we saw Bootie we knew we had to try it! It’s super vibrant and fun without being too “in your face.” We definitely reach for this shade more often in the summertime. We love pairing this with light eye makeup to really make it the center of attention.

Secret Stash- Lippie Stix

Secret Stash is actually very similar to Kapish, but more warm toned. When we saw Love Bug we fell in love with the shade but we don’t like the Ultra Matte formula, and then they released the same shade in a matte x and we knew we had to have it! Secret Stash is described as a rich mahogany and it definitely fits in the terra cotta family. Another great choice for fall!

We’re curious, what are your favorite ColourPop lip products?!

xx, Britta

I’ve heard so much about this brand, but hadn’t seen enough of it around to try them for myself! But after reading this, I’m going to have to give the brand a try!
