Right off the bat, I’m just going to say that the quality of the Alamar Cosmetics Reina Del Caribe Vol. 1 Palette for the price is out.of.this.world. $28 for 8 incredible shadows (that’s $3.50 per shadow) is such a steal in my opinion!
I love that Gaby created Alamar Cosmetics with her roots in mind and she wasn’t afraid to go bold with both the branding and the palette itself. She stayed very true to herself and I admire that!
When I first used this palette I stuck with the mattes since I’m a matte girl. They all blended out so beautifully without losing pigment. You know how some shadows can go on really pigmented and as you keep blending they kind of blend out into nothing? These are the opposite of those. They’re very reminiscents of the ABH shadows IMO.
After my initial look, I decided to play with the shimmers, specifically El Malecon and it is my favorite shadow in the whole palette! It’s the perfect muted olive color that compliments my eye color perfectly. One thing I love about these metallic shades is that you can easily use any of them all over the lid and have a stunning eye look. They don’t really need to be paired with other shadows.

Overall I’m very impressed with the quality of these shadows and would highly recommend this palette. It’s way more wearable than you might expect. I can’t wait to see what Alamar does next!
