It’s taken us approximately four years to get our hair healthy again, and it’s been a process of trial and error to see what things worked and what didn’t. We recently went lighter and are happy to report that the bleach didn’t completely destroy our hair. Five years ago we weren’t so lucky!
We go into each of these more in-depth in the video, but if you’re curious, here are our 10 tips for healthier hair!
1 | Use a high-quality demi/semi permanent hair dye (we use eSalon), or get your hair colored at a salon
2 | Use a mircofiber hair towel to cut down on the time it takes to blow dry
3 | Use cream or oil heat protectants as opposed to sprays
4 | Wash your hair ever three or four days
5 | Use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner (if it’s paraben free that’s also a plus!)
6 | Use hair masks instead of conditioner for more concentrated hydration
7 | Use Olaplex No. 3 once a week
8 | Swap our your regular hair ties for invisibobbles
9 | Use a Wet Brush, they’re less damaging
10 | Swap out your aerosol dry shampoo for powder, and use hair spray sparingly
